If you want to know how to stop hair loss, you must look for an immediate solution. This is a very common and often serious problem, one that unfortunately, affects both men and women without regard to age or sex. If you are shedding 50 to 100 hairs a day this is normal even though you may feel panicked about it, but if you are losing more hairs than that number a day, you will begin to notice bald spots in your head and it may be possible that you do indeed have a hair issue.

If your hair is falling out, it can be caused by many factors, but the most common causes can be that you have an inherited predisposition to hair loss, you are under undue stress or you are feeling depressed.

Other factors sometimes that cause hair loss is a high fever or an infection in your body. Some people have noticed that after a high fever or a major surgery, that they experience hair loss for some weeks after that time. The difference between this situation and perhaps your own, is that this kind of hair loss should not last, it should only be a temporary condition. If after several months, you notice continued hair loss, seek help immediately.

Another fact that most people don't realize is that you may not be eating enough protein or red meat. Some teens that skip meals or some vegetarians that don't receive enough dietary protein in their daily intake of foods can lead to hair loss. The good news is that once you begin to eat enough protein again, the hair loss should stop or regrow as before.

If you decide or a doctor does, that you are having a problem with losing your hair, you would be wise to seek treatment right away. There are many products on the internet and offline, but you must be very careful to select one that will truly work for you. Don't be discouraged, try several until you find one that works for you.
